About the Program

The national scenario leads more and more to the definition of a single Graduate program in Statistics able to graduate both Master and PhD students.

Since 2001, both PhD and Master degree students attend graduate courses and seminars in their first academic year, with each lecture term lasting for 13 weeks. Each M. Sc. Seminar lasts for six months and 1 (one) credit point will be granted for attending and understanding these seminars. Besides attending the seminars, the students must prepair a manuscript describing some of the given talks. At the end of the first academic year, all the students must have attended to a minimum of 380 hours of classes in regular lectures and 20 hours of seminars.
